Harold and Maude (1971)

Harold and Maude (1971) - A movie i watch during English Composition class. Purpose for watching the movie is to observe and analyse the movie. I never really go analyse a movie before, to a extend of wondering why the person say that sentance, or what do that object represent? What's the purpose of a person's death? Will it make a difference if that person don't die? Breaking down parts by parts and piece them together again. You will realise how brillant a movie can be.

A 20 yr old boy(Harold) falling in love with a 79 yr old lady. He commited so many fake sucide to get his mother attention. Attending furneral is his favourtie pass time... there he met Maude , a 79 yr old lady..One full of life and love life. So carefree and the things she says is so meaningful. So many things to learn about life through this movie.

My favourtite part:
He gives her the little piece of metal.
MAUDE Oh, a gift.
She reads it. MAUDE (continuing) "Harold loves Maude."
She looks up. Harold is blushing.
MAUDE (softly) And Maude loves Harold.
They both smile at each other.
MAUDE Ohhhhh! This is the nicest present I've received in years.
She kisses it and tosses it happily into the ocean. She turns back to Harold.
His face is one of disbelief.
He looks out to the ocean and then back to Maude. He begins to form the word "Why?"
MAUDE So I'll always know where it is.
